Why you don't compromise?
Well, it took me literally years and years to be at the point where I am right now. I wanted it all, knowledge about plant-based vegan ingredients, about formulating skincare, the botanical world of plants and herbs, ethically, sustainably sourced ingredients and packaging, and how to minimise the CO2 footprint to have the least harmful environmental impact. I wasn't going to settle for anything less.
What’s your skin care ritual?
I double cleanse my skin (am and pm), followed by eye serum, facial oil and or moisturizer. Besides this I believe in ancient skin care rituals, like crystal facial rolling and powdered botanical masks which I both do quite often.
What’s your beauty style?
My beauty style is natural, I don’t use make-up (never did).
I always carry around LIV mini’s in my bag which I can use during the day. I love to keep that glow on my skin.
What are your favourite LIV products?
Of course I love all my products simply because I’ve formulated them myself. But my personal top 3 products are The Cleanser, The Luminous eye serum and The Beauty facial serum.
What motivated you to create your skincare line?
I wanted to create honest, affordable organic products that works, with sustainable and ethically sourced botanical ingredients and packaging. Inform and make women aware so they can make a better, conscious choice. All from an environmental point of view for the future of our next generation. The influence of a mother is huge, teenagers often start to use their mothers beauty products. So setting up good habits is key.
What makes you unhappy?
Greenwashing, overprized beauty products. Beauty products with micro plastics and other nasties in it. Heavily processed plant oils that are completely stripped of their nutrients and vitamins. Brands that still don’t seem to care about the environmental impact.
Do you have skin tips?
I believe everyone can have a beautiful skin. There is a deep connection between the inside and outside. In other words, only taking good care of your skin is not enough. Plant rich food full with vitamins, nutrients and essential fatty acids, is as important as sleep, having no stress, careful with sun rays and so on and on.
